A random click on a video opened a video in May 2021 of Swami Sarvapriyananda, a Swami whose existence I did not know until then. It turned out to be a text, called Aparokshanubhuti, attributed to Shankaracharya. It describes a method that seekers can follow to directly experience the essential Truth of one’s true nature.
I listened to and watched the video with increasing interest and became fascinated both by the content of the texts and by the way in which Swami Sarvapriyananda treated these texts. His wisdom, his enormous knowledge, humor and clear way of teaching drew me under the spell of what I considered to be a legitimate ‘vasana’.
What followed were 43 more videos, all dedicated to Aparokshanubhuti, which means direct, intuitive experience of the Absolute. So not just a philosophical exposition, but an intuitive and palpable approach to thousands of years of ‘old’ wisdom. Swami Sarvapriyananda manages to take you step by step on a path that ultimately leads to the essence of yourself: Freedom, Moksha, Brahman.
Because I have always studied taking notes at the same time, I decided to summarize the 44 videos and make them accessible in PDF form for those who wish. The URL of each video is in the text, so you can also watch the entire video in its entirety.
I wish everyone the insights, wisdom and pleasure in studying these texts, which I have experienced myself.
