VEDANTA

Science of Consciousness

Anitya

On the other hand, nitya is that which is always, without beginning and end, endless. At the core, in essence you are nitya, existence, consciousness itself.

The method of vedānta is broadly two-step. In the first instance we distinguish (viveka) nitya, the silent witness, from anitya, all perishable objects. Then we learn the truth. Anitya is nothing but an expression of nitya. That is you, the full whole, the truth of every supposed, separate phenomenon.

The explanation of this Sanskrit term was written by Simon de Jong.
