Shines after. A dependent light source that shines only by reflecting light projected onto it, for example the moon that shines by the grace of the sun, the source of the original light.
- Anubhati
In reality, there is only one light (not a physical light) that shines light on the mind, that shines light on the senses, that lights up the world. That light is the light of myself, cit, consciousness.
An important example that we are dealing with of anubhāti is cidābhāsa. That which lights up in the mind is reflected light, which is nothing but the original light of consciousness with the upādhi (something that seems to transfer its properties to its carrier) of a mind in it. Just like the world. Consciousness, I, shine, and the world shines after me (anubhāti). How could it be otherwise. The world must always be present. The Foundation and Website of James Swartz is therefore so beautifully called Shining World.
