I, as consciousness, was never born and therefore cannot die. What was not before this life, and is not after this life, cannot suddenly be there during this life. So relax!
Consciousness is infinite and precedes time and space. Time and space appear in and to this consciousness, and living being (the jiva), my so-called person, who is nothing but a mixture of the five elements, is apparently born in consciousness, and apparently dies from consciousness. What remains is me, consciousness.
