The new part divides itself, according to the same formula, into infinitely more complex forms, and so on. This explains, or if you prefer, symbolizes, the complexity of the world in the waking state.<\/p>\n<p>This model also indicates that, according to <span class=\"glossaryLink cmtt_Short\" aria-describedby=\"tt\" data-cmtooltip=\"cmtt_24e462bc2bac8ac9aaa520de9ea89186\" data-mobile-support=\"0\" data-gt-translate-attributes='[{\"attribute\":\"data-cmtooltip\", \"format\":\"html\"}]' tabindex=\"0\" role=\"link\">Ved&#257;nta<\/span>, the gross five elements that form the basis of coarse matter (vir&#257;&#7789; or vai&#347;v&#257;nara) never exist in their pure, coarse state (mah&#257;bh&#363;tas) in the waking state (j&#257;grad avasth&#257;). Only the subtle elements are initially pure. And then, according to a certain model, they decompose into the subtle organs. This also includes the five sensory organs, which originate from the same subtle elements and are connected to the bh&#363;ta sa&#7749;gh&#257;ta, the composition of elements in the world.<\/p>\n<p>Pa&ntilde;c&#299;kara&#7751;am means something like &lsquo;coming (kara&#7751;am) from five (pa&ntilde;ca), changing into five&rsquo;.<\/p>\n<p>We must realize that this is merely a model for applying Ved&#257;ntic methodology, just like contemporary scientific models. What is Ved&#257;ntic methodology? Constructing the model, demonstrating that they are objects, dependent (<span class=\"glossaryLink cmtt_Short\" aria-describedby=\"tt\" data-cmtooltip=\"cmtt_d9c84ad08319903abfd55515b8f1af5d\" data-mobile-support=\"0\" data-gt-translate-attributes='[{\"attribute\":\"data-cmtooltip\", \"format\":\"html\"}]' tabindex=\"0\" role=\"link\">mithy&#257;<\/span>) on their subject and substrate, existence itself, shining as consciousness (<span class=\"glossaryLink cmtt_Short\" aria-describedby=\"tt\" data-cmtooltip=\"cmtt_50b4e15855b6dbdbb4de420778831283\" data-mobile-support=\"0\" data-gt-translate-attributes='[{\"attribute\":\"data-cmtooltip\", \"format\":\"html\"}]' tabindex=\"0\" role=\"link\">satya<\/span>). Then understanding, on the authority of the Vedas (<span class=\"glossaryLink cmtt_Short\" aria-describedby=\"tt\" data-cmtooltip=\"cmtt_ef33f6364e53ef11f6744d2b4caab080\" data-mobile-support=\"0\" data-gt-translate-attributes='[{\"attribute\":\"data-cmtooltip\", \"format\":\"html\"}]' tabindex=\"0\" role=\"link\">&#299;&#347;vara<\/span> itself), that objects are nothing other than the subject: <span class=\"glossaryLink cmtt_Short\" aria-describedby=\"tt\" data-cmtooltip=\"cmtt_3eb157f74fbed21b635923c2d3b5d2ec\" data-mobile-support=\"0\" data-gt-translate-attributes='[{\"attribute\":\"data-cmtooltip\", \"format\":\"html\"}]' tabindex=\"0\" role=\"link\">advaita<\/span>. After realizing this, subject and object dissolve as the non-dual self.<\/p>\n<p>Thus, we obtain the following diagram.
